Has become a money making Pet Mill and NOT a CARING Vet Practice.:
We have been taking both our pups to them for years, but for the last few, we had cut back due to financial situations. All we wanted was to talk to the Doctor before we took our Sara in. We had an emergency and no one answered at their office, so we took her to another recommended Vet. She was diagnosed with cancer. Called Dr. Barry Buchalter's (Dr. B) office to talk to him and the woman (Lucy) on the phone was extremely rude. She talked down to us and talked about Sara like she was a "product" and not part of our family. She wouldn't even leave a message for the Doctor. What happened to your practice, Dr. B? And this woman Lucy, should not even be near the Customer Service Industry let alone a Doctor's Office. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.

Best Veterinary Hospital--- Dr. B is #1:
You are always greeted professionally. No matter how busy they are (and they are always busy) they will always make time to help you! Lucy is Tops! Dr B is so caring and great with any animal! He treats any pet like it was his own! You won't find me & my Fur Babies at any other hospital or with any other doctor!!!

Caring Veterinary Hostipal - Dr B is Great!!!:
The receptionist are always professional and helpful. Vet Techs are efficient and you can tell they have a true calling to care for animals. Dr.B is great with my cats (3) and my dog. My pets do not fear the building or waiting room which I have experienced with other vets. I believe that my pets have the same confidence I do in the hospital.

Long Term Client and Extremely Happy With the Vet:
Originally we researched all area vets. Two came out highest from clients, one was Dr. Barry Buchalter at Oceanside Vet Hospital. We've exchanged research with him, he's gone significantly out of his way to help us with our (originally 3) dogs, and we are on a first name basis with him and his wonderful staff. His "new" second vet is our neighbor living three doors away. You get what you give and we speak with the staff often in regards to our dogs, who currently are 10 and 14-3/4 years old. He looks a bit like a mad scientist but his life is deveoted to caring for pets. He is also an expert in reptile care (I think). He tries to keep costs manageable but that also depends on you as a responsible pet owner. Preventive care is better than emergency care (and associated costs). We couldn't be happier with our choice of vet!
