Defective products and abysmal customer service:
If I could give zero stars, I would.

My car was towed to Ochoa with a flat tire. They sold me a tire that they represented to be new. I drove straight home from their shop and my car remained there until the next morning when I got up to leave for work and found the tire flat. I had another shop examine the tire and they found two pin-sized holes in the sidewall, making the tire both impossible to patch or repair and unserviceable. I ended up replacing the tire at the second shop.

When I arrived at Ochoa yesterday, the "owner lady" (who I assume to be Dolores Ochoa, co-owner with her husband Elias Ochoa) intercepted me before I could even enter the lobby of their shop and was abrasive towards me from the beginning. I politely explained what happened, that I had the defective tire with me in my car, and requested to return it to them for a refund. She took exception to this, saying she'd need to have 'their warehouse' examine the tire to confirm my account, and kept going on and on about road hazard. News flash, lady: road hazard does not apply to a defective product; I did not drive over some road hazard that magically put tiny holes in the sidewall of an otherwise 'brand new' tire. She insisted on taking the tire, but flat-out refused to give me any form of receipt for taking my property, other than making some hand written notation on my original receipt. I am awaiting word from them "in a few days" to hear what kind of excuse they try to pull for not refunding my money.

Interestingly, when I originally purchased the tire, I was told that their credit card machine wasn't working, but that if I paid cash, they wouldn't charge me for labor or tax. Having a flat tire and no other choice, I did so. I suppose I was lucky to have gotten a receipt at all.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OCHOA TIRE! THEY ARE CROOKS! Read the rest of the reviews. Every negative review to date involves the same "owner lady," the same abysmal excuse for customer service, and nearly all of them involve an allegation of a defective product or service.

Extremely bad service:
I am writing this review because this is the second time I go and get extremely bad service. The owner of the shop is a lady that tries to talk circles about what is actually being done wrong and she will never admit that there is a problem. I wen a few years back to get a flat fixed and they usually mark the spot where the air valve is to keep the balance on the tire. Well, when they put the tire back on after patching it the mark was on the opposite side of where the valve is. In other words they put it 180 degrees away from that spot. I brought that to her attention and she said it didn't matter. I'm not willing to take her to court for $12 for fixing a flat. Her most recent bad customer service act was when I went in for an alignment. I went because it is computerized. So I though it would be done correctly the first time. It wasn't. The second time I went in to get it fixed I was told that the bolts were too corroded and could not be turned. So I told her that I needed to replace them, per her worker, and that I would come back at a later time. Her response was that she could only do half the alignment since they are not able to correct it at their business. The warranty on the receipt does not state any kind of exceptions it only says 30 day warranty. In the time that I was waiting I saw another unsatisfied customer show up. I rarely go out of my way to really post a bad review, I mostly like to focus on the good service people give and refer them, but this just went to far when Ochoa Tires will not uphold the terms of the 30 day warranty.

If you want good service look for somewhere else.
