Editorial Reviews

A real-deal speakeasy back in the day, this longtime Little Italy "hideaway" has preserved the space's "old-school architecture", now complemented with "warm" service and "creative" New American cooking; it hosts a "lively bar scene" fueled by "delicious cocktails", but otherwise it's a generally "calm" choice.

Nifty fact: Located directly across from the old...

The building has a history of intrigue as it used to be used as a speakeasy during prohibition and gambling hall with a tunnel linking it to the police headquarters. Today, the tunnel is used as a wine cellar and the main...
