I quit shopping at this store a year ago after many episodes of trying to get help -- for example, being sent to three different aisles by three different employees trying to find window blinds. I stopped going back when a customer asked where he could find scissors and no one could tell him, so I did, "Across the street at Target." I gave OSH another chance recently to purchase a rekeying lock - every employee, including the manager, read the box (like I didn't think to do that for myself) and then didn't really know if I needed to buy extra keys when I rekeyed. How about opening the box? I called their HQ and was asked "were they rude? were they trying to be helpful? what more could we do?" - well, how about opening the box and learning how to use it and showing me how to use it? And how about an apology for wasting my time because you don't know your staff doesn't know your products?

when did being "nice and friendly" become a substitute for genuine concern and going out of your way to help your customers.
