Avoid this repair shop at all costs!:
Oregon Light Truck and RV installed an engine in our 2008 Itasca Suncruiser motorhome in October. The repair was covered by warranty and took about a month. The new engine was shipped from Motorworks in Spokane, WA to the repair shop and they installed it. Three months later, after about 3000 miles of driving, the RV once again broke down, this time in South Carolina. The new repair shop found that another engine would be needed as the one that had been installed by Oregon Light Truck was completely ruined. After inspection, they found that a bolt that had been installed on the top of the harmonic balancer on the engine had been stripped, allowing it to vibrate back into the engine after some time and damaging the valves, causing irreparable damage to the engine. Our warranty covered the damage, but we were out of our RV, which is where we live at the moment on this trip, for over a month. We asked Oregon Light Truck to reimburse us for our lodging expenses for the time we were out of the RV. They refused, saying it wasn't their fault. We contacted the dealer who installed the new engine and they confirmed that it was their fault. We also contacted Motorworks, who built the engine, and they confirmed that it was Oregon Light Truck's fault. Also, when pressed as to why the failure happened at all, Oregon Light Truck said they saw the part was damaged and installed it anyways. We have that in writing. We are asking for them to reimburse us for our lodging expenses which is the least they could do. They sent our family of five out on the road in a motorhome with parts they knew were damaged and could potentially fail later on. They put our family in danger and did so knowingly. They should be out of business. Nobody should use this repair shop for any reason whatsoever as they are willing to put people's lives in danger to save a buck.
