Exposed brick, copper accents, fine linens and charming all-Italian staff mix Williamsburg industrial with Manhattan elegance to lure the same sort of rarefied crowd as the West Village's Da Silvano, where Osteria Paiolo's star GM, Alex Palumbo, spent the last few years. Chef Andrea Milazzo uses a wood-burning oven and makes pasta from scratch for a rustic, mostly northern Italian menu that includes a butter-soft 28-day aged buffalo carpaccio, fettuccine with cured pork cheek and a lovely veal ossobuco with saffron risotto.

Information from the business

From OpenTable:

Many native Italians attempt to bring authentic Italian cuisine to the states, but only few succeed. Alex Palumbo, founder, owner, Executive chef, Manager and at times Waiter, is one of those few. Hailing from the mountainous region of Piemonte, Alex serves a menu focused on Northern Italian cuisine featuring grass fed meats, homemade pastas, and fresh hand picked fish from the...
