After owners John Paul Valverde and Miguel Vicéns closed CampO Modern Bistro in September 2012, they reconcepted the space and came up with this casual joint. It's not a chef-driven or showy like CampO, and the food is certainly more approachable.

Formerly operated by the guys of design firm Coeval Studio, the restaurant was taken over by local icon Tim Byres and his business partners at nearby Smoke, Chris Zielke and Chris Jeffers, back in November. Unsurprisingly, this means the food here is better than ever — think roast chicken paired with wild mushroom sauce and unusual parsnip croquettes, spicy broiled oysters and thin-crust...
