High Pressure Sales:
We recently had a guy come door to door. We just so happened to be looking for a new roof and this guy said he could give us a free estimate. Little did we know that that meant that we were going to be "ear raped" for 2 hours. I also got the line about the guys kid playing for the Gators.The brought in a lap top with a Power Point presentation then gave us a price that was 3-4 times what it should cost to put our roof on. They took off an extra 20% because I am a contractor myself, but only if we would give them a down payment right then. I told them that I was not going to make a decision at that time. They then started to get upset and started the high pressure sales. They asked me "What did we do wrong, we must have done something wrong for you to not sign the contract right now". I told them that "it's not you it's me". They finally left. A few days later my wife received a call from their manager saying that roofing materials have gone down and they could now do it for much less. My advise to you-
1. Never use a contractor that goes door to door. Better yet never buy anything being sold door to door except Girl Scout Cookies.
2. Check reviews on line.
3. Ask your friends and neighbors for referrals.
4. Never fall for the "This price is only good right now" B.S.
5.Do not let Pacific Home Works into your home.
I also wish I could select minus or no stars.
