A Special Place for A Special Aunt:
This story is about our beloved Aunt Bruna who was fiercely independent and never wanted to live in anyplace but home. She found great joy at Pacifica Senior Living Northridge, a beautiful memory care community. The staff at Pacfica Northridge are loving, nurturing, patient and trained to redirect the attention of erratic behavior.
Her needs increased and we had to move Aunt Bruna from her home to an Assisted Living Facility. For years she had told me that "those places are for old people with no family-I don't want to ever go there". It was a devastatingly difficult decision for the family to make. The day we moved her to Pacifica Northridge there were several residents sitting around and six staff members to greet her in the lobby. About thirty minutes after we arrived, Aunt Bruna turned to us and said "you can go now I'm going with this girl". Aunt Bruna accepted the new surroundings as home and the staff and other residents as family and friends.
The family wants to extend our special thanks to Aunt Bruna's expanded family, the staff of about 75 loving nurturing caregivers of Pacifica
