I started in the florists business at 13 years old as the cleanup kid. I was lucky to work for Alexander's Flowers which I was able to become a partner in after my graduation from John Carroll University. Alexander became the largest florist in Ohio and one of the top 100 FTD florists nationally. In 1980 I left to start Paradise Flowers in the new Tower City project in downtown Cleveland....
