Where to Sit: The corner booths downstairs, swathed in rich brown upholstery, are cozy nooks, but for a bird's eye view try and snag one of two tables an the small mezzanine level that overlooks the whole lower level.

What to Drink: Rich pub grub, like ale-steamed mussels and burgers topped with fired eggs, demand more than bottled domestics. A deep beer list answers the call with flavor-packed, high-alcohol options from Belgium, Germany and the US.

"Jeans are the order of the day" at this "relaxed" West Loop burger bar with a "hip" touch, offering a "well-selected list of craft brews on tap" and "way-above-average cocktails" prepared by a "talented" crew; while it holds two floors, the former speakeasy space easily fills up, so seats can be "tough to score."

Michelin Bib Gourmand rated menu that complements their acclaimed "No C@!p On Tap" drafts, a full liquor bar, and boutique wines by the glass.

The Paramount Room wants to be more than the corner watering hole. Their beer selection is better than most, especially their specialty, Belgian beers.
