Refuse to release my dogs for nonpayment of services never agreed to!:
REFUSING TO RELEASE MY DOGS!!
Beyond awful. I've had to retain an attorney for Pete's sake! I brought my 2 dogs in on a Friday for boarding until Monday, at $21 dollars per night for both. I was informed they needed to be up to date on all shots (understandable). So I responded that I think only one is behind on his rabies shot- and asked if they could do it there. They told me they could.
I returned on Monday to pick them up, and the invoice was $199!!!! They told me both my dogs were behind on all vaccinations so they went ahead and took care of it because they have to.
No one contacted me, no one said this to me while I was there, nothing! If they called their prior vet across town to find out- why wouldn't I be informed that I'll be charged THREE TIMES what I expected to pay- $63 dollars- I don't have the 200 simply because they gave vaccinations they didn't feel were important to tell me about!!
At this point they tell me that if I don't pay in full, that they will keep my dogs until I do. I called the police, who couldn't help, and my dogs are still there- while they continue to charge the boarding cost each day until I pay!!!!!!
Their paperwork states clearly that there must be proof of vaccinations PRIOR to boarding. Accepting my dogs and saying yes, we can do the rabies shot here- tells me that everything is ok! Had they made the call, and figured it out while I was still there- I would have known I can't pay 200, and would not have left them there!!!!
