For the treatment that I received here, I could have just stayed at home!:
I specifically called first before I went to make sure that they did the treatment that I needed, which was a rabies vaccine, due to the fact that I had been bitten by a feral, certainly unvaccinatted cat, and could possibly be infected with the virus, not to mention serious infection. They told me that they did indeed do the vaccines. I mentioned that I had already been waiting for several hours at the Langley hospital, and didn't want to come if they didn't do that, and was assured they did. After waiting to see the doctor, he comes in looks at my hand, barely asks me anything, tries to put me on an antibiotic I'm allergic to, and then is going to send me on my way with just a TDAP booster. I have to ask about the rabies vaccine, and he was like, do you think you need that? I don't really think that's very necessary, until I insisted. He left came back, and tells me that I need to go to Sentara fo the shots. I was so mad! then he gives me doxicycline for the Infection. I ended up back at langley hospital the next day for the vaccines, and by then my thumb was completely infected. Tuns out, doxicycline isn't strong enough for a cat bite. So, all in all, I went there for him to tell me that I was bitten by a cat. And I had to tell him that I needed to get the rabies vaccine. Are you sure that that is a LICENSED DOCTOR working there? Seems to me that he should know these kinds of things, and that patients shouldn't have to possibly pay for their mistakes with their lives! These are NOT minor mistakes he made. Rabies isn't curable after you start to show symptoms. Does this doctor know that? Maybe he needs some retraining by the CDC! Patient lives depend on it. I will br reporting him to the health department also.

I have spoken to Patient First myself, and there is not one at this location, as for the number posted here, it is my own personal number and I would like to know who posted it here. Please someone help me figure out how to remove it from this sight. Thank you.
