Pediatrics 5280 has served the South Denver community for over 45 years. With offices in Centennial and Castle Rock, and appointments available almost 365 days a year, our goal is to provide the best in comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children and teenagers throughout the south metro.

At first we had no problems, taking our newborn son there for care. Things then changed. A nurse told us that the flu shot was required for our son, even though my wife had signed a waiver, stating that we did not want him to have it. After she had given our son the flu shot, she lied and told my wife that the waiver was for her.

One of the doctors, who is still there, told us that we were wrong about our son's symptoms and blew us off. Come to find out, we were correct. The doctor's office told us that they had verified with the insurance company that the vaccinations for our son were covered by the insurance. Well, once again they lied. This caused problems since we were responsible for the bills. The office manager, who is also still employed there refused to talk to us about it.

We fought the charges and won.

I would recommend to all parents to find another pediatrician to go to. Pediatric 5280 is only concerned about lining their own pockets and not about doing what is right for the children they have a responsibility for.

Michele Wallendal, MD, has practiced with Pediatrics 5280 since 1996. Prior to that, she provided emergency-room care at The Children's Hospital in Denver.
