Pet Company

We had all 3 of our dogs groomed on March 21st, 2012. I picked up the dogs around 5pm and paid $100.00 to have our dogs washed and nails trimmed. On our trip home, I discovered that Harley (pikapug) had a clear greasy substance above her nose and on her forehead. When I arrived home, my husband also questioned the greasy substance. He took a wash rag and cleaned it off. We didn't notice anything under the grease at that time. But we were perplexed as to why she had a vaseline type substance on her face and head. By the end of the week, giant scabs had formed under the hair and her hair fell out leaving a blistered area, only where the greasy substance had been. I took her to the Vet where they sedated her and cleaned and treated the burned area. She will now be on antibiotics and sedatives for 7 days. I called to speak with the Pet Company Manager whom was rude and defensive. I explained the situation more calmly that you would expect. I asked her to talk with the groomer and tell me what happened. The Manager told me there was NO WAY that they caused this burn. I realize now that the greasy substance was some sort of ointment that they had put on the burned area and told us of no injury. It obviously took a few days for the blisters to appear under the hair. Whether this burn was caused by a chemical or a dryer, we will never know. Please, if you love your animals, DO NOT use Pet Company! I have attached a picture of our Harley's injury and if this won't detour you from using Pet Company, nothing will! Please note that I had to choose 1 star to leave a review. I am NOT giving them any sort of positive review.

we took our dog in and when we picked the dog up they had not poliished nails as requested, no bow, no perfume. got to the car and driving home the toenails were bleeding and not filed yet noone told us that anything had happened. we will never go there again but will tell everyone we know.

I love the pet company! The are always very nice. They have lots of beautiful birds. You do get personal care from everyone of those girls. they all have a great love for all animals. The owner has been the same for at least 20 years, she is a very sweet and professional. They are very busy at times, but that should say something about all of them. I do recomend you and your family come and see for your selves
