If I could offer you one piece of advice for your wedding it would be to STAY AWAY from this company!!!

We met with Eric from Party Starters and at first he was very outgoing, informative, and assuring. We put more than the required deposit down to book him and signed his "contract". Of course in the beginning, before he had our money, he was very responsive and talked for hours! We might as well have just thrown that money in the garbage.... I tried to email him a simple question and with no response after a couple weeks I gave him the benefit of the doubt and emailed again. With no response to that email I became a little concerned and happened across this website with his recent reviews! Well as a future bride the last thing you want to read about a vendor you have booked for one of the most important days in your life is that he didn't even bother to show up or that he outsourced your wedding to someone else who ended up playing you tube videos all night. In my opinion, the DJ has one of the most important roles in how your day flows and controls the overall atmosphere to your wedding. They are privy to special moments that they themselves cue and through your meetings with them they get to know you as a couple and are able to personalize your special day. Taking the chance of having someone you've never even met show up or for them to not show up at all and you are scrambling to find someone at the very last minute is a chance I was not willing to take. On top of the reviews, after failed attempts of trying to contact him, I asked my MOH to fill out his new client form to see if he would contact her back. GUESS WHAT!? He literally called her back within the minute of her filling out the online form! He left a message for her (which I still have) saying to contact him and gave her a different number than what we had for him and called from a different #! Needless to say we canceled his services. Do not book this company if you want peace of mind!

This DJ is a total under handed, low end idiot.He writes all his own glowing reviews on wedding wire but basically he could not DJ a party for apes in a zoo
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Please! Do not use this company, they ruined my wedding. Eric is a chatty guy when you can get him on the phone and will make you feel confident that he is putting in the time for your wedding, but that was not the case. What he failed to mention to me was that they hire out, so no one from the company was actually at my wedding. I had given him a list of over 100 songs to be played during my wedding from which he compiled a playlist. I got to my reception and the DJ told me that the hard drive Eric gave him didn't work and he had none of my music. He was streaming songs off youtube and didn't come up with any solution to the problem. My husbands mother/son dance song froze for minutes, we didn't do any of the traditional Jewish dances and two of our friends wound up DJ'ing from their iPhone while the DJ stood there. Eric dodged my calls for 2 weeks then had his "associate" Anthony call me telling me to email him what went wrong and they would resolve it within 24 hours, its been a month since I talked to him and still nothing despite daily phone calls and emails to him. If I wanted an iPod wedding I would have saved myself the money and actually played the songs I wanted. Please save yourself the hassle and use another company.

September 2013 Wedding: Thank you for a great wedding! Party Starters turned it up! We loved everything Eric and the other DJ did for us and they exceed our expectations! Darrin & I would recommend them to our family members, friends and anyone looking for a professional wedding dj. We had a great mix of music and our party kept getting better and better. If I was to highlight one thing, I would say how sweet, really funny and refreshing his approach is when he creates those special moments he will tell you about. While we had a traditional wedding and traditional elements, it didn't feel like the like it was just another wedding reception. Darrin & I have been to a bunch of weddings and I'm glad we didn't have to accept the same style we had seen many times. We also ordered their Open Air Photo Lounge, which I am really glad we did last minute! Our guests were really entertained with it and we all cant wait to see the pictures! We highly recommend Eric and his partner for your wedding!!
