In 1953, David Mahan opened the Pine Cove Tavern on the Northeast corner of 29th and E Street. His goal was to create a cozy neighborhood Tavern, serving the finest in mixed drinks where couples could come to enjoy each other. He succeeded. In 1963, the Pine Cove Tavern moved to its present location, when Highway 80 was built.
You get here by climbing a twisting staircase from the liquor store on the first floor. This bar has dartboards, sports on TV, shot specials every night, nine tap beers and happy hour.
