Optimal Pizza:
Typically, when LA restaurants are the best for a brief moment, you find that they are filled with snooty staff, bad attitude and OK food with a gimic. Instead, Pizzeria Mozza is quite simply some of the best pizza you will ever taste in LA with a superlative waitstaff and huge wine selection. It's that good. Problems: very large lines for walk-ins, even during dead hours. If not, you definitely need a reservation. Hint: show up between 2:30 and 4:30 PM. Additionally there is no nearby parking and LA just made all of the nearby meters one hour, so don't count on street parking. Be prepared to use the valet. However, the food is divine and worth it. I have had the mushroom and salami pizzas and they are both great; the salads are huge and the butterscotch budino dessert is worth killing for!

Great pizza:
This place is almost impossible to get into without reservations. It's informal with great pizza, salads, appetizers and bruschetta. The caponata is lovely as is the chicken liver brsuchetta. The pizza crust is bubbly and crisp.

Pizzeria Mozza Restaurant Review:
Epicurean superstars Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich (partners in New York’s Eataly, Del Posto, Babbo, Lupa and Casa Mono) are behind this popular pizzeria. Don’t plan on conducting an intimate or business conversation here, as the place is quite noisy, due to the high yellow and terra cotta walls, the crowded bar at the entrance, and the open kitchen (which offers seats at...

Osteria Mozza Restaurant Review:
The trio from Pizzeria Mozza --- Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich --- is behind this larger spot right next door, on the corner of Melrose and Highland Avenues. (Also nearby are sister establishments Mozza 2 Go and meat-centric chi SPACCA.) The grey and black toned décor creates a New York atmosphere, even if some patrons wear shorts and hide their identities under baseball...
