Hello. I would like to let you know what really happens at Plant Beach Contempo Spa in HILLSBORO, Oregon, right off of 188th. I signed up almost 6 months ago and was given a 5 month contract. After going there for a few months I realized that they are always booked for the sessions I wanted to do (facial, hydration etc). I called in the middle of February to see if I can get a reminder or to just cancel my contract at the 5 month mark. I was told I had to come in, in person, right after my 5 months was up (they told me March) before the 6th payment to cancel my membership. I did just that. Reading the cancellation form I realized it said 30 day notice... and I was suppose to mark one, but left it blank. I then told Rachel that I was NEVER told a 30 day notice over the phone about this. I then said "I'm not going to get charged on the first right?" and she replied "No, I'm going to have my manager call you over the weekend." I even repeated that twice. Well, no one called over the weekend and the first had passed. I was charged on the second of the month which put me into significant overdrafts. After arguing with an assistant manager, which turned into the actual manager, for a while...and caught her in a couple lies--she proceeded to inform me that there is NO WAY she can refund my money even if she tried, and she can only give me a free month (which there is no way in hell). She then said I was suppose to cancel on the 23rd of the month and that everyone working there knows that, which NO ONE told me that either...even when I signed the cancellation form. She quickly offered me the owners' email address which I then said "Yes!" Then she said "Well, It's actually his wife's email, It's a joint account thing that people with problems go to", she then proceeded to tell me that the email address was
[email protected].... hmmmm? I asked "wait, what's your owner Don's last name?!" She said it was Campbell. "Then why do they have different last names?" I asked. She said she wasn't going to get involved in his personal life. I said goodbye and hung up. 10 seconds later Samantha called me back stating that she will refund me and that I am no longer welcome there.
This is the utmost unprofessional franchise I have ever dealt with. I have caught them in so many LIES, even to my face, and NO ONE should ever have to go through what I just went through. This place isn't worth a dime. I really hope the REAL owner Don Campbell somehow gets this message.
