Consumer Warning:
WARNING CONSUMERS

I will post a daily update on multiple complaint sites until Portland Torque Products Inc (aka Dave Neville - owner), decides to do the right thing...fix my transmission without defects at no cost to me or reimburse me so another transmission repair shop can correctly repair it. PTPI continues not to respond to my requests for documented evidence of work completed for the $2350 they charged me. Really??? Who does this to a customer charges +$2000, has your property, and will not provide evidence of work completed, what parents broke, etc. Keeps you in the dark. Can't believe the state hasn't shut them down for what appears to be a solid case consumer fraud over many years.

They have provided ZERO documentation so I really don't know what they did and if the Dyno test was ever run since the rebuilt transmission vibrates my car and lost reverse gear. (see previous reviews). This company is a disgrace to the industry and cares only about the $, screw repeat customers which I suspect they have very few. Frankly I will blog daily until they take responsibility, man-up, and take care of the customer who paid 100% of the fee upfront....A regret paying 100% upfront and I have too live with it and learn from. Don't think Dave gives a s...!

Upon reflection I want to apologize to Elizabeth Moore. She's only behaving poorly because Dave models for her a lack of customer satisfaction, honesty, integrity, and just plain expected business practices. Obviously, she needs to earn a living and suspect PTPI is a horrible place to work. I upset Elizabeth and I apologize, not entirely your fault. I can be difficult to work when I believe I have been taken advantage of. Who isn't? Right?

Here's the owner response without ever talking to me....

If you do not wish to return your transmission to us for repairs under the terms of the warranty there is nothing we can do for you. It appears that you have already posted negative reviews.
Thanks,
Dave Neville

Man-up Dave! Doesn't have the backbone to talk to me. He knows he is at fault and will hide behind his warranty as stated below. I will pray for him and his employees.

9-12: Paid PTPI $2350 plus $1350 to FedEx and mechanic to ship for repair on my 330ci BMW tranny. Surprise reverse gear failed yesterday less than 90 days after reinstalling it. To fix the repair (sounds redundant )they want me to pay again the $1350 freight charge to plus have my mechanic pull my tranny again! We all know the transmission repair industry can be risky who works on it but these folks at Portland Torque are incompetent, unresponsive, unethical and frankly the State AG should investigate them.

Btw, are the good reviews on this site generated by employees or were they paid to make the comments? Impossible to believe they were satisfied. Here's why, these good reviews it appears are from used car dealers that are selling cars with Portland Rebuilt tranny's!!! Read the reviews from individuals, few positive reviews from individuals!

Btw, I think I figured out their business strategy. Keep initial prices below market rate combined with good looking warranty,. |Then provide shoddy work so the customer can't use their warranty because the consumer can't afford to pay the $1350 AGAIN to have the tranny removed and shipped. You tell me? Sounds like Groundhog Day.
