Pricci Restaurant Review:
A classic, contemporary design defines the space at Pricci. The seasons determine the contents of its menu under longtime chef Piero Premoli, who hails from Milano. Start by dipping house-baked bread into a flavorful tomato sauce with a creamy cheese center, a complimentary amuse. Appetizers range from an elegantly composed burrata, ringed with ribbon slices of fresh zucchini and served with...
"Beautiful", well-heeled Buckhead folk flock to this "classic old-world" Italian for "lovingly prepared" food served in an "elegant" setting by an "excellent" team; an "unapologetic '80s ambiance" and "loud" decibels from the "lively bar" come with the territory, and if a few feel it "needs to be updated", more say it's "improved over the years."
Pricci is strikingly glamorous, with part of its drama stemming from an open kitchen where a team of white-toqued chefs engage in a culinary frenzy around an oak-fired pizza oven. The decor is also theatrical -- Art Deco chrome and brass dividers, rich decorative woods, cozy banquettes, and a snazzy bar. The downside is the noise; it's hard to escape all the dining clatter.
