Medications required for continuation of care, mobility, and function are treated as optional when it comes to explicit and correctly filled out prescriptions by nationally recognized physicians/clinics, etc. I have waited upwards of ten days for medications to be filled by undereducated pharmacists, most of which do not have the Pharm. D. qualifications necessary to operate such an organization. A consortium of non-orofit Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans own the for-profit Prime Therapeutics, which these plans refer their customers to as their "preferred pharmacy." This abuse of public trust is unacceptable, and results in "double profits," for the non-profit organization. It is my understanding that an investigation involving this and other matters is ongoing. This could not be confirmed due to "ongoing preliminary evaluation,"; but was definitely not denied by an elected Representative of the United States CongressCongress

The receptionists often times will tell you flat out wrong information. They do not know all the information and protocol for each prescription and will tell you wrong information just to "please you." I can not tell you how many times I have heard from a receptionist, "If it is not shipped today, your prescription will be shipped out first thing tomorrow morning," and then be waiting a week for shipment to come through only to find out the pharmacy needed to speak with physician. Information online account is just as misleading. It tells me my medication was shipped two days ago and I get off the phone with receptionist at Prime Mail telling me it has not been shipped yet. They are very unorganized and have a lot of miscommunication within the office and pharmacy.
