Recently moving here from another state, I had this company take a look at my lawn. Agreed to have service done. They did a poor job missing parts of the lawn. When I attempted to call they did not respond for days.

They then showed up for their next service without notice, I cancelled at this point - they didn't show the cancellation and again showed up the next month without my permission.

The best part is they forward this bill for a cancelled service to a collection agency without even sending me a bill or any phone conversations.

This company should change their name to Shady Lawn Service.

After replacing all of my grass & starting treatment w/Pro Lawn, they killed a large section during 1st treatment because they gave me an "extra special" treatment. Had to fight to get it replaced, this year they killed large sections, Supervisor "John" said freeze damage, Tech said no, even told us how one of the chemicals they used had killed several yards this year until they quit using it. Refuse to fix it, they will take their chances that you will file a small claims suit hoping most people don't want the hassle & will just discontinue service. Beware of this company, we have used various companies over the years & this is the worst to deal with when you have issues. Owner refuses to call you back & the supervisor is confrontational and severely lacking in the ability to professionally & respectfully communicate with customers. I purchased the more expensive "deluxe" treatment for the added benefit of crabgrass control. Only after having the service for almost a year do I discover that ProLawn's policy is that they do not treat weeds between April and November (whenever the temperature may possibly be above 84 degrees). Even though they did not disclose this policy up front or in their service agreement, you should know that they are the only company in the yellow pages with such a policy--I checked. But the service agreement clearly states they treat crabgrass "throughout the year". On the last service call, the technician only spent six minutes treating our yard, and he was gone so fast he didn't leave a sign out front saying that he had been there. We called to inquire why the tech was in such a hurry, and we were told, "Your yard isn't that big." Hum, I remember it being over a third of an acre. Their policy is they will come out to re-treat if the customer is not satisfied--but they won't come out and retreat--at least I can't get them to. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB, and owner Mr. Dennis, in his response to the BBB implied that I am "uneducated" (unlike his service tech who has a college degree...I do too, by the way), then he proceeded to tell me to read the service agreement. Just for the record, their service agreement states they will make "every reasonable effort", including retreatment upon the request of the customer. No resolution was offered, and I don't feel like they have even come close to "every reasonable effort". I have paid every single bill either on time or up front, with the exception of the last bill which was for the six minute "quickie" service, so I can assure you that I am not some dead-beat, non-paying customer. Avoid this company!

Despite buying the most expensive service, and giving them a year, my lawn is the worst in the neighborhood. And despite repated calls to Pro Lawn, they took no action to improve the situation, and a Manager never chose to returnmy calls
