After a two-year hiatus, this expanded German gastrohaus in Lincoln Park is back, pairing modern chef-driven eats with two dozen tap brews (some served in a giant boot) from a beer-stein-bedecked bar; the straightforward setting is casual and warm, with rows of imported communal beer hall tables and many TVs, and prices are affordable.

To make a toast at Prost, the newest watering hole to soak up the Lincoln Park scene, just lift your half-litre stein or boot-full of brew towards your equally-as-intoxicated neighbor and yell prost! which is German for cheers. A bonafide German beer hall, Prost flaunts communal wooden drinkin' benches, Hofbrau beer and authentic German eats like pork schnitzel and hot pretzels.
