Tips

Where to Sit:
The main room is the epicenter of the action, but can get loud on busy nights--request seating in the patio room for a more intimate experience. Don't get relegated to the small, remote alcove behind the bar.

What to Drink:
The by-the-glass wine selection is generous. Try the $40 Domaine Vrignaud Chablis 2002, great for multi-fish pairings. Corkage is $15.

The barnacles on the wall remain, but interior design studio House of Honey injected more luxury and comfort into the décor with dark blue velvet chairs, driftwood chandeliers and...

Michael Cimarusti made his name transforming the downtown—and rather pedestrian— Water Grill into an acclaimed restaurant. Now in his own venue in an airy, modern space near Paramount Studios, he continues to turn out some of the best seafood in the city. Start with an appetizer of Japanese kanpachi (a kind of yellowtail) in a truffle vinaigrette, or Dungeness crab with mango, pickled red...

Michael Cimarusti's French-influenced seafood creations return the original Patina location to its culinary glory days.:
A veritable institution in L.A., this nondescript structure might not look like much from the outside, but inside you'll be treated to some of the best seafood on the West Coast. Comrpised of a...
