Inefficient. Required redundant appointments.:
I would give a 0 star rating if that were an option. Why? I scheduled an appointment to have a polyp removed. The scheduler specifically told me I had to wait a month to get that day, time, and doctor who would do the surgery. When I arrived a month later at the appointment and filled out mounds of paperwork, I found I was only scheduled for a get-to-know kind of pre-op appointment. Okay, someone either screwed up or provided grossly inaccurate information to me.
At the end of the appointment, I filled out more paper work and had to wait for the scheduler to call me again to actually schedule the surgery. She called back several days later (not the next day as I had been told), with appointments (yes, plural!) for another month later. She said because the surgery would be more than 30 days after my last appointment (not my fault), I would have to do ANOTHER pre-OP and fill out the same paperwork AGAIN. And get this, the scheduler told me I would have to do a pre-op at 8am, then go to a different location to fill out paperwork at 11am, and only then could I go into surgery the FOLLOWING morning. A waste of my time. What I can't figure is if it's solely due to incompetence or if increasing billings to insurance companies is part of the clinics acceptable protocol? Perhaps this is what you can expect from a small-town clinic. Bummer. It looks like will have to take my business to a doctor in Portland.
