HORRIBLE! DO NOT buy any animal here. Sold me a very sick tortoise and now he is dead! Tried to sell my friend a sick puppy. Wish I read all the reviews 1st before I wasted $ and got my heart broken.
Don't buy a puppy from them!:
First of all I wouldn't have even given this a one star for the lack or customer service as well as for the fact that my dog is still sick and I am the one paying for the unhealthy conditions this store keeps their animals in! However, I couldn't post without providing a rating.
I too bought a puppy from this store three weeks ago. First of all the man from the puppy section sold us vitamins that our vet told us were unneccesary as well as pretty much the same thing. Not to mention it caused him to have diarrhea. Our vet told us to stop giving him the vitamins IMMEDIATELY.
Not only that my puppy is sick with pneumonia and has been hospitalized for three days on oxygen and hase made multiple all day visits to our regular vet ever since. We had to rush our puppy to a 24 hour emergency care vet almost a half an hour away because he was stuggling to breath. The whole time I held him in my arms scared that he wasn't going to make it and that I was going to witness my 8 week old puppy's last breath only four days after bringing him home for the first time.
The "manager" Alan seems to never be around and when he is all he does is speak rudely to my husband who is trying to find out how to solve this issue.
We got paperwork from the hospital stating that our puppy was unfit to be sold and according to NY law they had 10 days to reimburse us the cost of the hospital/vet bills trying to get my brand new puppy well enough to get his vaccinations so he can go outside like any normal puppy.
About a week later we never heard from the pet store so my husband called and spoke to the manager. He said that he had just looked at the papers as he had not been in the office much. He also stated that they couldn't do anything without copies of the x-rays done on my dog.
Two days ago my husband dropped off the x-rays done both at the hospital and at a follow up at the vet. The manager of course was not there to hand them to personally. Yesterday he called to be sure that he had received them and HE WAS NOT THERE! Today Alan hung up on my husband after telling him that he had no time to talk to him because he was with a customer.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS STORE NO MATTER HOW CUTE THEY ARE! All you will get is pain and heartache as I watch my puppy struggle to breath and have to give him three medicines a day as well as nebulizer treatments. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE GO TO A BETTER PETSTORE, A BREEDER, or ANIMAL SHELTER!
