I came into the salon recently with a very dissapointing dooo I recieved from another salon I had been going to for awhile now..after trying to get the mess of a dooo "fixed" by that same gal..boy was it "fixed"...frankly...another "f" word comes to mind ...I was not able to do a thing with this mess...so, as I said, I made an appt. At PURE POSH..I was booked with AMANDA and she not only listened intently, she made several suggestions in which I chose one and ......POOOF! FABULOUS!!!!..I cannot begin to thank AMANDA enough...I also liked the salon, upscale ,,chic, but relaxing at the same time, I felt comfortable ,and welcomed...give it a try!...I think I may have talked my husband in to trying AMANDA next time he wants a hair cut..that's huge!..believe me!
Careful:
After many years of wanting hair extensions I decided to take the plunge at Pure Posh. I received a very botched job from a sweet but inexperienced stylist. It was embarrassing; I was actually laughed at by my co-workers!
I immediately called the owners of Pure Posh the very next day requesting they be taken out. After very politely asking the owners about some financial compensation they offered me a $400 credit to see the very same stylist who preformed the disastrous work. I politely declined, and told the owner I had spent $800 on the hair alone, and after tipping and the whole process was all said and done I'd be pushing close to $1000. I suggested if they weren't going to refund all my money than I wanted at least $600 of my money back, not a store credit. The owner said she already took the $400 profit the stylist would have made and didn't see why as a business owner she was responsible for eating the difference. Even though BOTH, yes BOTH, owners admitted to me it was not done correctly and gave me 3 different reasons why. They even told me they now prohibited the stylist from performing this work again,,,, ”as owners” they didn't feel like they should be held responsible.
After I spent the 2nd night having them removed one of the owners came out with much attitude to give me some cash and said they were doing this even though I signed a contract that said it was non-refundable, because, I threatened to bad mouth them to my coworkers. My "threat" was explaining to the owner that people will ask me how it was handled and I will either say "I received a bad job from an inexperienced stylist but the owners were very cool about it and made it right" or "I received a bad job and the owners told me I had to eat $600 because it wasn't their responsibility."
Bottom line, Pure Posh is a chic salon in Stone Oak, it is a shame the owners of such a salon would be willing to turn their backs on a client over $200. Their stylists are extremely nice but I would suggest using caution when it comes to big ticket items at Pure Posh. If you do decide to take the risk, be prepared to be held responsible for their employee’s mistakes.
Let it be known I ended up not tipping the poor employees as I would have liked because of the way this was handled by their bosses. Mistakes are certainly made but the girls spent much of their time regardless and I regret the way this played out.
