Strategicly placed screws:
I've always suspected tire shops of tossing screws in your path on the way out. Mostly because I'm a cynic but frankly, it keeps you coming back. Now these clever bastards... take one look at them & you won't want to turn your back. I try not to judge a book by it's cover because I've been looked at this way most my life but, this place is different. So I used to frequent this joint because it's close to home. Convenience is a sure sale. At my last visit I told them what I needed, watched them do the job while my daughter waited in her carseat &, was asked to go into the office to pay. Of course, one employee stayed in the vicinity of my vehicle/work area as unbuckled my daughter & stepped inside. I had a gut feeling to keep an eye outside through the office window but had to look away, to pay, for a brief moment. I thanked the manager and walked back to the car. After placing my daughter back in her carseat I walked to the back of the car only to find a clean, unused metal screw. The screw was placed close to the edge of the concrete driveway, just behind the path of my tire. I picked up the screw, got in the car &, knowing what their argument was, I drove off. I'm thinking of stopping by sometime just to survey the parking lot. I'll never spend my money at R & G Tire again!
