So dissapointed patient since 2014 dont walk run away:
I am do dissapointed, shocked, and p@!%!d off today ( i feel like i can say "p@!%!d off" because since my 1st and every visit since with dr. Rothstine he has dropped the 'f' bomb in each visit)'
Ok so 2 weeks ago i as told it is stste law that you must have physical therapy in order to get my schedule 2 medication. I called the physical therapy office and was told that the "physical therapist" is only there to see new patients on fridays so i couldnt get in until the next friday, 2 days after i was to go to the dr. To pick up my second 2 week supply. I was told i couldn't get my meds for 3 more days. Now this is a medication that you cant just stop taking it cold turkey. You can have seizures, night sweats, uncontrollable muscle spasms and in some cases stroke or death...death....now i will say that it was mentioned to me a few times that i needed p.t. But was never told it was mandatory until 2 weeks ago...how can someone get an appointment for a new patient in 2 weeks.
I lost my job in april of this month, pretty much because of the back surgeries and deteriating health. The doctor was told this and he offered me no help with any of my meds or appointments. Meanwhile, i was able to go on the internet and could find several sites that my dr could have used to help me get my meds at reduced prices.
In the 6 month of going to every appointment, i have always been traeated so rudly but the blond recetionest. Today she was super rude and told me it had been mentioned to me i should go to p.t. After loosing my job, living off my 401k and selling everything i own to pay for these appointments and medication...(about $600 a month) and not being told it was mandetory before 2 weeks ago, i couldnt afford to go to p.t after being a patient of the pain center for 6 years and was required to take 12 classes about my medication, how to relieve stress, ans what excercises at home to do i didnt feel the rush to go to p.t with my financial problems. So until 2 weeks ago i had no idea pt was mandetory.so today when going to get my medication for the next 2 weels supply was told i couldent get my meds.
I will say that dr. Rothstine and joline m.a. Are very through smart and very nice and helpful.
So my opinion to anyone looking for a dr go somewhere else while the dr is good the rest of the staff is unbearable and seems to treat everyone like drug addicts. I was told by dr. Rothstine my back was "f@!%!d" and i should apply for dissability, which i have done so i am stuck with this miserable staff until i am able to receive my dissability.
