Restaurant L has been a community destination for many years. Back in the days when Allendale's streets were covered in cobblestones, local men would saddle up to the Turnpike Tavern to share a pint while their horses were being re-shoed. The Tavern saw celebrations and laughter, inside jokes and a flock of local characters who could be found at the trusty solid oak bar any night of the week....
