They don't do highlights, but they do make a mean heirloom tomato pizza. This veggie-centric bistro on the east end of the Westheimer restaurant strip is helmed by vegan chef German Mosquera and sources its greens several times a week from local farmers markets, which makes for a constantly updated menu. Local, organic and green is Chef Chandler Rothbard's mantra at Roots Bistro. Favorites here include Kale + Avocado Salad, Poached Lobster and off-the-menu Beef Wellington. Also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine - and their Market Cheese plate is plentiful and well priced.
