Top Notch Dr. Sorvino:
My husband and I have been treated by Dr. Sorvino and both agree she is the best. Her professionalism, pleasant staff and calm demeanor makes a tooth ache tolerable. We both highly recommend her.

Great doctor:
Dr. Sorvino-Macchia is a wonderful doctor! She is caring and highly skilled. She took time with me to relieve mt fears and the went on to give me a full description of the procedure she was about to perform. The explanation continued as she worked. Rhe root canal was successful. My tooth was saved...and I had no pain during or after the procedure. Dr. Sorvino is an excellent doctor.

Fantastic and Caring Dentist!:
Several months back I had a terrible tooth ache in my upper jaw. Every time I ate food or drank hot or cold drinks, I experienced shooting pain in addition to the constant tooth ache in my upper jaw. When I went to see my general dentist about the pain, he said I needed a root canal and he told me I had to see Dr. Sorvino. My dentist told me she was a top notch specialist in root canals and the best Endodontist he knew. I had never heard of an Endondontist (I am still having trouble spelling the word). When I suggested that the word sounds a like a type of dinosaur, my dentist explained that an Endodontist is a dentist who receives two years of specialized post dental school training in learning how to expertly perform root canals. He told me that he had such high regard for Dr. Sorvino that he always refers his patients to her.

After my dentist finished explaining the virtues of Dr. Sorvino, I was convinced I had to see Dr. Sorvino and prayed she could alleviate the terrible pain I was having in my jaw without causing me additional pain. When I went to Dr. Sorvino’s office, I was thinking of the typical jokes about how people would rather have some horrible thing happen to them than have a root canal.

When I entered Dr. Sorvino’s office I was greeted by a very warm and welcoming office staff. While filling out my paperwork, I heard a lot of laughter among the staff which made me feel at ease and forget about those old jokes. When I was being seated in the chair, Dr. Sorvino entered the room and greeted me in a very warm and engaging manner. We discussed the pain I was having. She eased my fears about having a root canal. She explained to me the anatomy of a tooth, why I was having pain and all of the options for treating the pain. She even drew a diagram of a tooth and explained what she would be doing. After feeling satisfied that I knew what she would be doing to my tooth to alleviate my pain, Dr. Sorvino went through a diagnostic test to confirm which tooth needed a root canal because she explained she wanted to make sure she did not do a root canal on the wrong tooth! Once she identified the problem tooth, she proceeded to give me an injection that I swear I did not even feel. In a few minutes I was numb and feeling no pain! While Dr. Sorvino did the root canal she talked to me about this and that easing my anxiety about having a drill in my mouth. After the procedure was done, Dr. Sorvino again explained what I should expect when the novcaine wore off and that she would finish the procedure in a few weeks after the tooth had time to heal and she was sure the medication she put in the tooth killed all the bacteria which I found out was the cause of my tooth ache.

The next day her office called me to ask how I was doing which I thought was very professional. When I returned three weeks later, Dr. Sorvino asked how I was doing and after she satisfied herself I no longer had any pain left, she completed the root canal. I was so happy with Dr. Sorvino I thanked her thoroughly and told her I would recommend her to all of my family and friends.

Upon returning to my general dentist for a new crown, I thanked him for referring me to Dr. Sorvino. When he took a look at the xray of the tooth with the root canal, my dentist said it looked fantastic. Although I don’t wish a tooth ache on anyone, if you do get one, I highly recommend you see Dr. Sorvino for a root canal.

Horrible Experience!:
I paid Dr. Sorvino $1,500 for a root canal therapy job that she didn’t do. In the process, she broke my cap even though she assured me that she would work through the tooth from the bottom up and I should not be concerned. After the cap fell into my mouth, she handed it to me in a plastic bag claiming she did not have cement and I had to go to my regular dentist to have it replaced.

The day after the procedure I was in terrible pain and my general dentist said I had an abscess and that the draining was coming from above the tooth Dr. Sorvino had worked on. I suffered with this abscess for 3 weeks. My general dentist took an x-ray and said I needed to return to Dr, Sorvino immediately, stating she would know what’s wrong when she see’s this x-ray. His admin made an emergency appointment for me and when I got to Dr. Sorvino’s asking her to complete the job she started but had not finished, she said she DOES NOT GUARANTEE her work and she refused to help me.

I was in terrible pain and did not want to loose the tooth, so I asked her for a refund so I could be treated by another specialist in endodontics. Not only did she refuse to help me but she dismissed me saying she’d have to think about a partial reimbursement.
Two days later I was in such excruciating pain that my general dentist had to pull the tooth. To make matters worse, this tooth was an anchor holding my bridge so now I need to have a new bridge made at a cost of nearly $2,000.
