Doesn't follow instructions:
I called to have two Jeep half doors painted. I arrived and dropped off the doors got a fee quote. I told Roy that I did not want the seals of the door removed and I asked him to paint around them and just tape them off. I said I didn't care what the inside of the door panel looked like, I did not want the seals removed. He said no problem. A week later, I picked up the doors and fitted them to my jeep and noticed that the seals had been removed and the door clasps had also been removed and they were not given back to me. I called Roy and asked him why he removed the seals after I asked him not to. He essentially told me that you can't make everybody happy and he did a good job on the paint and I should be happy. I told him that I was not happy because I asked him specifically not to remove the seals and he did. He told me he wasn't going to replace them. Now, I have to purchase new door seals. The old ones were in good condition. these are jeep doors. Used only in the summer and I didn't want the expense of having to put on new seals. Roy cannot follow instructions and was arrogant and prideful about his work and didn't really seem to care about my concern and basically told me I should be happy with the job he did and he wasn't going to pay for new door seals. Factory seals aren't cheap mind you. So I told him that I was going to write a review of my experience online and he said that he still had my door locks. I said that I would pick them up the next day and he replied......"if I remember to save them for you" I said what do you mean and he said that he wasn't going to give me my locks back if I wrote a bad review and that if that was the case, I might as well have a good reason to write the review. He basically threatened me to not give back my door locks/ clasps. - Which makes the doors useless. So I told him I'd pick them up in 5 minutes since he is close to my home. I got there and he was a real a@s about everything and said "lets get your locks and get you out of here". I hesitated to write a review. Thought maybe I'd just move one. So I waited 6 days to write the review and so I could calm down. Basically, they didnt do what I asked them to do before hand and then touted how well they did on the doors. The doors were wet from being washed when I picked them up, so I couldn't really tell how well they were done until I got them home and dried them off. The paint was orange peeled on some areas and there were multiple areas of dots where there where air bubbles that had broken. The pain job was fair, I wouldn't say exceptional. Good tactic to leave them wet when you give them to me. You guys make up your mind using this guy. I have nothing to gain or loose by writing this review. I did want to be honest in saying, that they don't follow instructions. I specifically asked them to leave the seals in place and told them I didn't care what the inside of the doors looked like around the seals even if the old paint did show. They don't give good customer service after the sale. The paint job was decent but I wouldn't say exceptional because of the orange peel appearance in places and the broken air bubbles. Their just jeep doors to be used in the summer, so no biggie. Had I taken the whole jeep, which is what I was eventually was going to do, I'd be really upset with the paint job if the doors were any indication if their work. Buyer be ware.
