Ruckers Cleaning Service has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. They were rude, yelled, lied, discriminated, made excuses, and were generally unprofessional. During one call they yelled so loudly and with such anger that my co-workers a few cubes away could hear them (and I was not on speaker phone). They did not provide the services I paid for. I paid for 4 two-hour cleanings. Of the three we could witness the time on, not one of them was for the full amount of time. The last cleaning, when we were out of town, did not actually leave us with a clean house. The master shower was not clean. I could wipe mold off with toilet paper, so clearly it had not been touched with cleaning materials. The floor in the bathroom was covered in hair and dirt. The guest toilet had mold in the bowl. The downstairs hallway was not swept. The stairs had white cleaning powder spilled all over them—so they were dirtier than before the “cleaners” came. Given this poor condition, I doubt they were there for the full two hours. We did have some issues with cleaning quality in previous visits, but never this bad. In addition, scheduling appointments with them was awful—not only were the actual communications horrendous with the yelling, anger, discrimination, and excuses, but it was hard to get in touch with them. They did not answer the phones and it required several calls to get a response. They also did not schedule appointments on the agreed upon times and refused to change these later without a $40 charge and half the cleaning. However, they had no problem canceling appointments at the last minute and leaving us hanging.
Ruckers placed a Living Social deal and were clearly unable to handle the new influx of customers. They actually said this many times on the phone to me, as an excuse for missing the cleaning and not returning calls and emails. They also clearly favored customers who lived in “mansions in Buckhead” (as they put it), over people like us in our suburban 3 bedroom house and actually stated this was their priority. Fine if it is, but don’t tell me, your customer, that! At the end of our four cleanings, they were so busy they were unable to take on new customers. Not that we cared, we would not have them “clean” our home if they paid us!
While I could continue to comment on how bad this experience was, as there is a lot more I could say. However, I will sum it up with this--if I had a worse enemy, I would not wish Ruckers Cleaning Service on them. Avoid at ALL COSTS!
