Rutgers Garden

This lovely 180 acre garden is filled to the brim with lush green grass, perennials, shrubs, and exotic flowers. Open every day of the year, Rutgers Gardens is one of the few of its kind that still maintains its free admission for the public. However, if you'd like a more in-depth tour of the garden, knowledgeable docents operate Monday through Friday for a nominal fee.

Our mission is to promote and provide accurate information about the art of horticulture with an emphasis upon the relations...hip between plants, human health and nutrition in the designed, as well as in the natural landscape. We are open 365 days a year from 8 AM 'till Dusk. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times. Free admission. The gift shop is open select hours on weekends....
