We absolutely loved the sushi and miso soup. We plan to make this our new sushi place.

We went there because a professor suggested it. It was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. One of our friends ordered the hibachi and my boyfriend and i ordered the sushi love boat, a $40 dish! We had to wait for an hour and fifteen minutes to finally get our food. Our friend had already eaten her "cooked" food by the time we got our "raw" one! We complained to the waiter several times and he just said they are busy. Come on! An hour???
We were ready to cancel the order after an hour or so but we couldnt find the waiter. When the food finally came it was not worth the 1 hour waiting. The staff was not polite at all. On top of that, we all three told them we didnt want the soup that comes with the meal. Well, for some reason we still got the soup! The waiter just wouldnt understand what we were telling him i guess.
Be aware! When people crash in, chaos prevails!

I love sushi! I eat it whenever possible and from all the different restaurants I've tried, I still haven't found one better then Sai Gai! Friendly staff, excellent service, great prices. They cook your food in front of you at the grills or serve excellent quality sushi at tables. Excellent!
