Not under any circumstances:
Ms. Baker has no belief in client confidentiality. I saw her in my early teen years. I had no hints of suicide (the only reason to betray client confidentiality), however Ms. Baker would contact my mother or vice versa and they would have a blow-by-blow conversation of my session each time.
Additionally, my first session with Ms. Baker, when I was a completely trusting pre-teen, I was in the middle of telling her about my childhood sexual abuse when her son called repeatedly. She answered and told him where the snacks were located in the fridge. Again, I am a 12 year old girl admitting I was sexually abused.
I have had the strongest desire to report this woman to any and every agency that stands up for victims, patients or her industry. It has been 7+ years and as an adult I am contemplating going to therapy, and I find myself physically shaking with distrust.
I'm proud that I have the strength to overcome betrayal by a doctor, sworn to an oath. This was worse than the abuse, being told this was a person I could trust and she betrayed me.
I can overcome this after this many years, but this woman should have her license revoked and she should be arrested.
