Let me begin by saying that I don’t typically write reviews but decided that the service I received at Salvage King TV & VCR Parts merits a positive online review. Last week my ‘lightly used’ 2011 model TV/DVD Combo no longer operated. After researching online and speaking to three different TV repair companies, I was quoted prices for repair that exceeded what I’d bought the TV for and was told that I should just buy a brand-new TV. In one last ditch effort, I called Salvage King and spoke with Don. Upon describing the symptoms of my TV, Don stated: “I can fix that”; “it will cost you X dollars” (quoting me a price that was a mere fraction of what had been quoted to me elsewhere). He went on to tell me the hours they are open and how to get there. I toted my TV to Don’s shop today, fully intending to leave it for about a week. As Don chatted with me, educating me on how to preserve the life of my TV, before I knew it, he had removed screws, opened the TV, begun working on it; never missing a beat in the interesting story he was telling me; closed the TV back up; powered it on, revealing a beautiful crisp picture, like brand new! Not only did I receive excellent, same-day service, but was charged the low-end of the price range he had quoted me. I am a very pleased customer and highly recommend Don at Salvage King TV & VCR Parts to anyone with a flat screen TV (as long as screen is not broken) who is thinking about getting rid of their non-working TV or purchasing a new one. Chances are your TV set has more life to it. If It can be fixed, Don is the one who can fix it; without charging you the price of a new TV set!!
