Tips
The original interior contained 6,000 leather opera seats and a 36-by-75-foot curtain depicting the founding of San Antonio in 1718.
Along the Jefferson Street axis lie two more war memorials: the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in the Southwestern Bell plaza and a cenotaph honoring soldiers of the Confederacy with the inscription "Lest We Forget" on the base.
