San Mateo Marriott San Francisco Airport

This 4 star hotel is located in the city centre of San Mateo.

I stayed here when a townhouse I was supposed to move into in San Francisco flaked on me in 9/05.

They claim to be 15 minutes drive time from the airport, but even at 12am, I never got there that
quickly. I had to complain to get moved into a decent room. Otherwise, it's the "old wing", the one
pre-remodel.

The newly remodeled room wasn't all that either. Just decent to look at, but the words "papier mache" came to mind a lot in describing the look of their rooms.

Also, I stayed there on a Friday night and boy, the lobby was a huge pick-up joint. Was I just being
naive? I'm not sure.
