Sadly there is no ZERO or MINUS for this company. It is difficult to give them any stars. We contracted with them almost four years ago to use their "wonderful" Seal-Smart Wood Sealant in two separate locations. We sealed decks, a gazebo, bridges over a pond and connecting to a pavilion, a playground, four sets of steps, a sandpile, etc. We were delighted to cut down on the upkeep, and took the plunge of a hefty price tag to save in the long run. The initial workmanship was disappointing, as the young men who came splintered the rail around one deck while power washing. Their equipment broke down and our employees had to take them to town to get a part and then help them fix it. They ran so late that the playground was sealed in the dark with only their truck headlights for light. Seal Smart finally agreed to pay for replacement of our railing (at least that was my impression) but in the end would only pay for materials, not labor. They did have to come back and reseal all the new wood and they also resealed the playground and four sets of steps. This was probably around two years ago....maybe a little over. ALL of the wood is now decaying, even the newest wood. Our contract says that their sealant "creates a permanent effective seal against moisture, and prevents further rot or decay while strengthening & increasing the density of new or existing wood." It also has in capital bold letters: TWENTY-FIVE (25) YEAR MANUFACTURES GUARANTEE. After several calls to the company over several months, I spoke with Chelsea. She said she would call me back "at the end of the next week." I finally got a call the next Friday stating that they could not do anything about the rotting wood. She kept reading a part of the contract (not in my contract) that stated they were not responsible for replacing anything. Hmmm.....they did once....sort of. Anyway, a twenty-five year manufacturers guarantee means nothing! DON'T BE FOOLED! Our wood playground is too dangerous for children to play on. We will now be spending quite a large sum to repair all of the rotting areas. I cannot believe this company is still in business. Read what has been printed on Better Business Bureau website, as well as several others. We are not the only ones who are dissatisfied.

My deck looks amazing, and I love that I can keep it natural looking. The service was great. The two gentlemen who came to my house to seal my deck were the most friendliest people I have ever met. I would recommend them to anyone.
