After doing some research and finding nothing as far as on-site shredding, we did a market survey and in 2003 we started Security Shredding Services. Now in 2009, Security Shredding is listed as the premier on-site document destruction company in the tri-states region. With the rise in identity theft crime, and Nebraska being the founder of Arbor Day, saving trees and identities was the name of the game. With that, Security Shredding Services in 08, recycled half a million pounds of shredded material and is set to almost double that in 09! There have since been other shredding companies come and go. At first we felt concerned when our competitors began soliciting, they would compare themselves to Security Shredding Services. Some would try to compare rates, others would try to compare the size of shredded material, and some would even try to compare the speed of which their shredder runs.
