This place is nothing but a disappointment:
My car had engine light on, so I brought it to the Shaker Auto Hospital for diagnostics. Mark tells me that I will need a new throttle body that will cost $1,500. I approved that, but requested my old part back. A while later Mark calls and says that I don't need the new throttle body after all. Says that they changed the coolant & antifreeze and the light went off. Hmmm
On a prior occasion, Mark mentioned that one of his mechanics owns the same car as mine. I am not accusing anyone but can't shake it off. One heck of a coincidence, what would have happened had I not requested the old part back? Likely coughed up $1,500, that's what I am thinking.
Following repairs, my car was kept in the shop for several days while being taken on a road test, whatever that means. Used up a quarter tank of gas.
About a month later I went to another place for an oil change, and they weren't able to do a tire rotation because the wheels were overtightened. The only other place I had my car in prior to that, was Shaker Auto Hospital. I don't know if this is a common practice to over-tighten the wheel lugs but this will result in yet another repair bill. It could have caused a huge problem per chance I happen to have a flat and no one would be able to take a wheel off.
Bottom line, I don't recommend Shaker Auto Hospital especially for the extensive repairs or for the turbo cars. I am not going to set my foot in that shop for the rest of my natural life.

Watch out if you drop your car off:
Watch out if you drop your car off. It will be used as a taxi; I know mine was. Miles racked up, a quarter tank of gas used up, and a high price of repairs quoted. I was told a part was going bad & needed replaced.
However when I requested my old part back, it had miraculously recovered & didn't need replaced any more. I can't help but wonder what they do with the old used parts...
Had I not requested the old part returned, might have ended up paying through the roof for God knows what.
A few words about warranty this place offers. One year for parts and only 3 months for labor. And even then, you have to inquire, otherwise they won't stamp your receipt so don't assume.
