Shippee's Pharmacy

Since 1962 the company has been providing Drug Stores.

My family moved from Wanaque to Silicon Valley, CA when I was 9. I loved living in Wanaque and I vividly remember Shippee's because I had pneumonia when I was in Kinder. My mom was a nurse and she felt awful I was so sick, esp. since my 2 sisters were so close in age to me. She felt she could not attend to me as much as she would like but she did. Across the street at the time was a bank with a drive through deposit. I remember that I loved to send the capsule to the bank employees - I did even though I was sick that day. After that we went to Shippee's for my prescriptions. Shippee's made me feel special. They gave me this wonderful calender thing with little girl illustrations. I was really ill but somehow my mom and Shippee's made me feel so much better and very special. 40 years (literally) later I am on a bus to NY and we drive by Shippee's down Ringwood Ave. I am so happy to tell my husband about this unique place and wonderful memories. How many businesses are still open after 50 years? The bank is no longer there (I barely recognize anything but my old school St Francis.) I am beyond thrilled that Shippee's still survives. I will never forget this pharmacy of familiarity.

Everyone who works there is very friendly. They know your name when you come in. Great to know you can get free delivery, if needed. Definately worth the trip, which is not far anyway.
