NOT recommended (wish I could give negative stars!):
DO NOT do business with this company! Better to live in your car than to deal with this unethical slumlord. I was unfortunate enough to rent from Silvernail Realty years ago, and it's sad that even though they're clearly just as bad now as they were back then, they're still in business. I rented a horrible apartment from them and by the end of the ordeal I was out thousands of dollars and several irreplaceable possessions.
When the sewer line backed up into the bathroom, Sue claimed that it was somehow our fault and charged me for the repairs - after we had to use a bathroom with raw sewage coming up both toilet and shower for over a month, WHILE I was pregnant. When her repair guys "fixed" the shower in the unit next door, they neglected to hook the water pipes back up and let water flow directly into the dirt floor basement (the door to which was in my apartment). This led to an absolutely horrible centipede infestation. And did I mention the bats? Sue made rude, unprofessional comments about my living circumstances (at the time I was living with my son, my fiance, and a male roommate), and ultimately took me to court (and somehow won!) for the security deposit plus a bunch of repairs she claimed I was at fault for. My credit was ruined for YEARS because I couldn't afford to pay the judgment.
Not only that, but several days BEFORE the lease was up, she sent her workers in to clear out the apartment (we'd already started moving into a new place and were no longer living there, but still had quite a few belongings we hadn't moved yet). They wiped out over $200 worth of groceries from the fridge and freezer and "removed" numerous other possessions, including (but not limited to) a teddy bear I'd had since I was a baby, a wedding band, the roommate's French Horn, and so much more. When confronted with the still-valid lease, Sue said that all her other leases were up earlier in the month so she'd assumed mine was too - no apology, no compensation for my missing possessions. She said it was all in bags on the curb, but we'd already searched the bags and many, MANY of our possessions were missing, and we never recovered them.
She is a HORRIBLE person and landlord, and her business should have been shut down YEARS ago. I wish someone would start up a class action lawsuit against her/her company, because what she's doing to people who can't afford to fight her is just plain WRONG. It's too late for me (I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out), but she's obviously still taking advantage of people and ruining lives in the name of the almighty dollar.
