their style is to make rooms look decent on a photograph:
I had my aunt stay here at a 4th of July when I used to have a 1 bdrm apt.

Since this is my first time dealing with a Kimpton Hotel, I was a total beginner. I guess their style is
to make rooms look decent on a photograph, without backing it up with substance.

By this, I mean that the hallway walls were dingy. The elevator ancient and you'd be afraid to get trapped inside this sucker.

Lavish European rococo swathed in rich royal colors in lobby of 1928 gem. Old-school ambience at a reasonable rack rate. Just one block up from Union Square on cable-car line. “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” Beefeaters in traditional palace garb provide perfect beginning to evening of naughty decadence. Sneak up to 21st floor for jazzy nightcap at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room.
