While the menu items seem diner-esque and that they may be full-sized, remember the name of the game and bear in mind: The portions are smaller here.

Basic black gets the "trendy" treatment at this industrial-chic SoCo boutique where film noir–obsessed owner Gail Chovan curates a "cool" collection of coal-hued clothes, accessories and home accents; the staff keeps shoppers "happy", and while prices are "expensive", that doesn't stop devotees from feeling the "love."

A new chef has given this retro-modern SoCo diner a shot in the arm with an Eclectic, farm-to-table menu – from breakfast to late-night small plates – featuring special deals during long daily happy hours; you can wash it all down with local craft beers and wines or Blue Bell shakes and bottomless cups of coffee in the loungey digs or on the dog-friendly patio.
