Stay away from snk:
We paid almost $9K for a fence around our property as well as a dog pen. The owner saw our dogs when we signed the contract. When the pen was being installed it was pointed out to me by one of the installers that my dogs could go right through it since we chose a criss cross pattern. We have big dogs but this gap was enormous. We had the install stopped and the owner was called to my house. I was told that basically it was tough since it was what we chose and that she (the owner) would NEVER tell anyone what not to order since “she doesn’t do that.” I guess it doesn’t matter if it suits her customer’s needs or not, as long as she’s selling expensive fence. I told her I was looking at a 4 inch picture in her catalog when we chose the style and couldn’t tell how big the opening was and that as an “expert” I expected she would have educated me. Now my husband has to put holes in the vinyl to put up chicken wire at our expense. We paid between $4 and $5K for the dog pen and it’s useless without chicken wire. The owner got so loud with me I think my neighbors heard her. Then she told me that none of her workers said anything to me about the gap in the fence. So I was a liar as well. Then she called my husband at work and told him I shut my door in her face. She had no solutions for me, even after we told her we were going to have to put up chicken wire. I spoke to one of her installers after she left (and was finished berating me) and told him SNK Fence should either offer to put up the chicken wire for us at their expense or at least reimburse us for what it would cost us to do. He said he would discuss it with the owner. On day two of the install, nothing was said to us so clearly no one cared about doing a thing for us. If I went to a Chevy dealership and said I wanted a car that got 40 miles to the gallon and pointed at a Corvette, I would expect that the salesperson would tell me that wasn’t the car for me. Likewise, I would expect that owners of fence companies who sell fence for a living know what they’re selling. If the owner doesn’t know what her product can do and it’s functionality she should get out of the business. Then to berate a customer at their front door and call them a liar is inexcusable. If they’re the last fence company on earth don’t use them. The owner was absolutely unconcerned with the fact that the $4 - $5K dog pen was useless and that a customer was upset. She just wanted her money. She was rude, implied I was a liar, was ill-informed about her product and unwilling to make restitution. What a way to do business.
