Donn Krawetz of Spa Warrior in Novato is the biggest a*hole I have ever met in my life. He is nothing more than a scam artist and a con man. After agreeing to purchase my 5 year old top of the line $8,000.00 Catalina spa for resale at "x" number of dollars, he arrived to pick up my 1000 pound spa with no one to help him but a very sweet, helpful, but obviously not very brawny woman. After trying for 45 minutes to move it by himself, all the while berating this sweet gal for all her helpful suggestions, he succeeded in only making himself look pretty stupid and completely undermining my confidence in his reliability. I got a bad feeling and should have run the other way, but really needed to sell my spa so I didn't pay attention to my gut instinct. BIG MISTAKE!! He finally drove away to look for someone on the streets of Santa Rosa to help him. He returned with two young guys who were able to move the spa onto Donn's truck wiithin 5 minutes. (In light of this scenario why wouldn't a man who claims to have been in business for 19 years know enough to bring a couple other men along, knowing he would be unable to move a 1000 lb. spa by himself?!) After wasting almost an hour of my time, he proceeded to hand me a fraction of the agreed upon price, in cash, without a formal contract, and ended up scribbling a makeshift "contract" on the back of a business card. He stated that he would pay me "between x and x number of dollars by (a date 6 weeks in the future) IF everything checked out" Once he had my spa in his possession, he never returned my phone calls inquiring whether "everything had checked out". After waiting weeks I finally had had enough and left several messages in one day. He returned my phone call several days later only to scream at me that "I never wanted your f*ing hot tub in the first place lady. Most of our spas are given to us by folks who just want to get rid of them. I agreed to take yours only because you wouldn't leave us alone". That is complete and utter bull**** One of the times I called the lady who had accompanied Donn to pick up my spa answered the phone and tried to convince me that Donn ALWAYS put $1,500.00 of replacement motors and various other parts into every spa he sold, in order to guarantee them. This turned out to be total malarkey. I talked to 4 different reputable spa repair companies and they all said that was unheard of and completely unnecessary. They also had ALL heard of Donn and pretty much told me flat out that I had been scammed. Long story short....I finally got paid the "low" end of Donn's price after almost 2 months. It left a decidedly bad taste in my mouth and I most assuredly agree with an earlier reviewer that this jerk should be run out of town on a rail!!! Don't EVER buy a spa from or sell a spa to this guy!!! He will screw you for sure!!!
